Things to do / Travel Guide
Travelers visit the central California coast all year round, as the weather is almost always cool to moderate in this region, though it does tend to change rapidly from sunny and warm to windy and cold. In other words, it's fine to leave your heart in San Francisco, just make sure not to leave your jacket at home!
As a coastal region, there's generally a lot of fog rolling in during the evenings and slowly burning off over the course of the day at almost all times of the year. The skies are generally gray in the winters, with a good amount of rain. During mild-weathered springs, flowers are in bloom and the mercury inches up a bit during the day, though evenings are still cool. Summers have relatively cool weather with a thick, chilling fog blanketing the coast during the day, though hot spells are possible if the Santa Ana winds blowing in forcefully from the east. Falls are reliably warm, sunny, and pleasant.
