Adair Vineyards is a noteworthy vineyard, and it uses only locally-grown grapes. This new-ish winery's draw is its venture to give itself to tradition and the environment, and as such it is aesthetically situated in a barn over 200 years old. Furthermore, the wines it tends are not the usual fare: white wines are from Seyval Blanc and Vignoles grapes, while the reds are of the Foch and Millot hybrid varieties.
From June-October, Adair Vineyards is open for tastings and tours from 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; in May it's open only on weekends, and during the rest of the year the winery is closed to visitors. The winery is located on Allhusen Road, six miles south of New Paltz.
