When you enter the ashram at Yoga Ranch, nestled in the beautiful Catskills, you enter a world committed to the practice and study of yoga. Yoga instruction as well as yoga teacher training sessions are available. Individual and group meditation is facilitated. Healthy, vegetarian meals are offered. Short term visits and longer term yoga vacations are available. Some of the programs offered include Family Week, Yoga Camp for Young People, a 12 Step & Recovery program, and special events and workshops on July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and New Years Day. Courses in Ayurvedic treatments are offered as well as the treatments themselves, so guests can get on both sides of the table for a learning and relaxing experience.
Accommodations are simple yet comfortable. The varied options include tenting on the premises, staying in apartment-style residences, and sharing rooms in the 1920s "breatharium" – a structure built to provide fresh air for New York City escapees.

The Sivananda Ashram Yoga Ranch (est. 1974) is one of eight ashrams founded by Swami Vishnu-devananda for the practice of Yoga and the study of Vedanta (Yoga philosophy or positive thinking). Located on 77 acres in the New York Catskills, the Yoga Ranch offers various programs for Yoga practice ranging from a single Yoga Asana class, a vegetarian meal, or a group meditation, to an intensive month-long Yoga Teachers' Training Course and a work-study program.
