Located in the northern Catskill Mountains, Windham offers a great opportunity to New Yorkers looking to sneak in some mid-week skiing and riding. While not quite as large or well known as nearby Hunter, Windham offers a comparable challenge with far less congestion. Ninety-eight percent snowmaking coverage means riders and skiiers will rarely be disappointed with the quality of the terrain. Like most of the second-tier east coast mountains, good intermediate skiiers will be able to handle the advanced trails without too much difficulty.
