Our Zoo and Aquarium Expert Says:
The world-famous National Zoo is best known for the giant pandas, but that's not all. The first cheetahs ever born at the National Zoo, on November 23, 2004, are now about as big as their mother. The Zoo's Amazonia Exhibit leads visitors into the realm of the Amazon River Basin, where giant arapaima, pacu, red-tailed catfish, and piranhas swim in shallow water. There's much, much more, and it's all free.
Extras: Educational Presentations.
