So you're in Anchorage thinking, “where can I find a little golf action? Does it even exist out here in the wild?” Not to worry, it most certainly does exist! And best of all, it's not just about the golf. It's about the beauty of nature, the proximity of wildlife, and the incredible thrill of playing in natural sunlight when the clock strikes midnight.

Take the Anchorage Golf Course, for example. Set on a hillside overlooking the city, it also offers spectacular views of three different mountain ranges, including the grand Mt. McKinley.
You'll encounter hills on the course too, as well as trees and fast, small greens, so don't get too caught up in the ambiance or you'll miss a chance to score.

Eagle Glen features undulating fairways and many trees. It is well-maintained and, according to Golf Digest, considered ideal for walking.

The Moose Run Golf Course offers two golfing options: the Hill Course and the Creek Course. As you would imagine, the Hill Course gets its name from the gently rolling hills that make up the front nine. This scenic course provides ample opportunity to see wildlife in its natural habitat, so bring a camera. Be prepared to take pictures at the Creek Course as well, where spectacular views of the surrounding Chugach Mountains, as well as the various forms of wildlife such as brown and black bear, fox, wolf, lynx, bald eagle, and moose.

Finally, don't worry if you have trouble sleeping during the summer months, Settler's Bay accepts tee times up to midnight. The course features wooded areas and wetlands to challenge your game and excite your soul.
