Our Nature Nut Says:

Glacier Bay, an outstanding park and preserve and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has no trouble living up to its reputation. Rugged coastal beaches, freshwater lakes, ice caves, tidewater glaciers, and even rainforests provide a unique habitat for humpback whales, deer, bears, spruce trees, and beautiful fire flowers. There are superb hiking trails in the park ranging from easy or moderate to challenging. Many visitors tour the park in a kayak or cruise ship - be sure to reserve in advance if this is something that interests you. No matter how you choose to experience the park, you'll be guaranteed stunning photo-ops and excellent wildlife observation. The park can only be reached by boat or plane.
