Getting Around - Southwestern States (AZ, NM, OK, TX)

Getting Around Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Padre Island and Southeastern Texas Public transportation outside the trolley in Galveston is not recommended to travelers. Getting Around Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Taos, Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado Public transportation does actually exist in this region, but is really only reliable or widespread in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. For all intents and purposes, a car is essential for getting around the region, especially in any real capacity. Getting Around Phoenix, Tucson, Scottsdale, Tombstone and Southern Arizona Tucson is serviced by a local bus system, while Phoenix has both a local bus system and a light rail system that will transport you to all major points in the city, as well as to nearby Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale, North Mountain, Glendale, Chandler, Avondale, and Deer Valley.
