There's free Coke in store for you when you tour World of Coca Cola.
A walk through the building complex will serve to open your eyes to the beverage company's extensive history and global reach, with their trademark logo translated into dozens of languages on bunches of company product labels.

Another company with international reach is CNN, the global, 24-hour-a-day news channel. Tour the TV studio headquarters for a behind-the-scenes look at how news is gathered from and reported around the world. You'll even have the chance to make a video or yourself reporting the news “live” on camera!

South of Atlanta, in Hampton, you can shift into high gear at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. On the behind-the-scenes tour you go for a two-lap spin around the tracks, make your mark on Victory Lane, and even step into a luxury suite.

Factory Tours in the Macon Area

Now Georgia isn't called the Peach State for nothing - see for yourself at the Lane Packing Company. Located in Fort Valley, near Macon, visitors can take themselves on a self-guided factory tour of the facilities and observe then entire peach packing process all under one roof. Expect to leave with some peach-themed products as souvenirs.

A few miles down the road is the Blue Bird Wanderlodge factory. Here you can get an appreciation for the detail the goes into making luxurious motor homes. Spacious and splendid, after this factory tour you might just want to buy a luxury motor home yourself, if you can afford the hefty price tag that is.

Behind-the-scenes and factory tours are typically family-friendly activities good for a short and interesting diversion from a region's mainstream tourist activities. Generally inexpensive, visitors are often given complimentary tastes and samples, like free beer at the Atlanta Brewing Company (if you're over 21).
